Allow us to introduce our clergy.
Trinity is blessed to have talented and dedicated individuals serving us, and we are proud to introduce them on this page. To read a
sampling of their sermons and other communications, we encourage you to visit the
Clergy Corner. The Rev. Bruce W. Coggin, a priest of this diocese and its predecessor for over 40 years, has served parishes in Comanche,
Hamilton, McKinney, Austin, Cleburne, Fort Worth, and Mexico, where he lived and worked for 10 years.
Retired from parish priesthood, he teaches British and American literature at UT Arlington and Texas Wesleyan.
His three children and their children live in Fort Worth and other Texas cities.
He devotes much of his spare
time to yard and garden projects.
The Rev. Janet Gregoire Nocher, our deacon, was appointed by then Bishop Jack
Iker to serve Trinity Church in July, 2000. Soon after her
coming to Trinity, she started the Stephen Ministries program, and she
continues to serve as its leader. She is also chaplain at Baylor All Saints Hospital,
serves on the Commission on Ministry in the diocese,
and is the diocesan liaison to Episcopal Relief and Development.
The Rev. Walter W. Kesler served as Associate Rector of Trinity for four years, retiring from that
position in June, 2004. Fortunately for us, he continues to celebrate and serve when
needed. Fr. Walt is an avid needlepointer, and examples of
his work can be seen on the kneelers at the altar and elsewhere around
the church. He helped organize the
Seniors Group and actively promotes their activities.
The Reverend Marion "Sam" McClain was rector of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Stephenville, Texas for 31 years before
he and his wife Jane retired to Fort Worth. Being at St. Luke’s for that length of time allowed Fr. Sam to serve on
Diocesan commissions, obtain a Doctor of Ministry degree, and present ministry conferences throughout the United States and Canada.
The Reverend Andrew Benko is from New Orleans,
Louisiana. He graduated from Seabury-Western.
served as chaplain of the Washington University
Episcopal campus ministry, and more recently, as
a Canon in St. Mark’s Cathedral, Shreveport. He is
beginning Ph.D. studies at Brite Divinity School, focusing on new testament studies.
He and his wife Hope, also an Episcopal priest, have two children:
daughter, Harper (3), and a son, Grayson (9 months).
The Rev. William S. Winston returned to Trinity after a 35 year absence, having served as curate and Episcopal Chaplain to TCU in
the mid-70's. After leaving us, he served Episcopal churches in Tahlequah, OK; Bangor, ME (where he assisted Stephen King with the book Desperation,
Lake Worth, TX; Washington, NC; Rincon, GA; and Lockport, NY; as well as doing master's work in spiritual direction. He and his wife Charlotte live in Wedgwood. |
