Allow us to introduce our clergy. Trinity is blessed to have talented and dedicated individuals serving us, and we are proud to introduce them on this page. To read a sampling of their sermons and other communications, we encourage you to visit the Clergy Corner.

Fr. Fred The Rev. Dr. James Fredrick Barber has served as Rector of Trinity since August, 1999. Born in Virginia, he has been an Episcopal priest for over 30 years. He spent 20 years in New York state before coming to Texas.

Caldwell The Rev. Michael Lee Caldwell started serving as Curate at Trinity in July, 2009. A cradle Episcopalian from Abilene, in the Diocese of Northwest Texas, he graduated from the School of Theology in Sewanee, Tennessee in 2009 and was ordained to the priesthood at Trinity on August 8.

Bill Taylor The Rev. William J. Taylor, III, served as our Associate Rector beginning in August, 2004. He retired in 2009, but continues to celebrate, preach, teach and make visitations on a part-time basis. Fr. Bill practiced law in Delaware before entering the ordained ministry. He has lived and worked in the Fort Worth/Dallas area since 1985.

Deacon Nocher The Rev. Janet Gregoire Nocher, our deacon, was appointed by then Bishop Jack Iker to serve Trinity Church in July, 2000. Soon after her coming to Trinity, she started the Stephen Ministries program, and she continues to serve as its leader. She is also chaplain at Baylor All Saints Hospital, serves on the Commission on Ministry in the diocese, and is the diocesan liaison to Episcopal Relief and Development.

Fr. Walt Kesler The Rev. Walter W. Kesler served as Associate Rector of Trinity for four years, retiring from that position in June, 2004. Fortunately for us, he continues to celebrate and serve when needed. Fr. Walt is an avid needlepointer, and examples of his work can be seen on the kneelers at the altar and elsewhere around the church. He helped organize the Seniors Group and actively promotes their activities.

Fr. Coggin The Rev. Bruce W. Coggin, a priest of this diocese and its predecessor for over 40 years, has served parishes in Comanche, Hamilton, McKinney, Austin, Cleburne, Fort Worth, and Mexico, where he lived and worked for 10 years. Retired from parish priesthood, he teaches British and American literature at UT Arlington and Texas Wesleyan. His three children and their children live in Fort Worth and other Texas cities. He devotes much of his spare time to yard and garden projects.
