House. Science and Spanish take place in
Trinity House.
There are 15 weeks in the Fall Semester.
Classes will not be made up for school closures
due to bad weather or events beyond the
school’s control.
Mondays - Spanish with Mrs. Dills 12:10-1:00pm (1st, 3rd, & 4th Mondays) $135 Fall Semester
Introduction to the Spanish Language is what
your child will receive when they spend time in
this class. Through songs, games, art activities,
and stories, Spanish vocabulary such as colors,
numbers, days of the week, months of the year,
parts of the body, clothing, and household items
will be emphasized. Research has shown that
the best thing for a child this age is to hear a
language being spoken and to try to speak the
words - this develops neural pathways in the
brain that can be accessed later in life when
serious language study is undertaken.
Tuesdays - Artist Exploration with Kelli Sims
12:10—1:00pm $190 per semester
Students will explore interesting and unusual art
techniques while creating original works of art in
this exciting class. Class time focuses on a
famous artist such as Picasso, Monet, and
Seurat, and techniques as varied as dotting,
scraping, rolling and spraying. Exploration of
form, color, lines, shapes, and the use of various
mediums and materials encourage the mind's
creativity and imagination. This art class is open
to children aged three and four who are potty
trained.
Wednesdays - Cooking with Mrs. Ward and Kelli Sims
12:10—2:00pm $385
In this culinary adventure, children will explore
the equipment, techniques, food sources,
nutrition information, manners, and table
settings necessary to plan, cook, and serve food
for their families and friends. Filled with stories,
games, imagination, and of course - lots of
hands on cooking - this class will encourage
children to try new things! This class is reserved
for children who are three and four years old
who are potty trained.
Thursdays - The Green Gang with Mrs. Cariker
12:10—1:00pm $190 per semester (Fall Only)
The Green Gang is on the move - to save our
planet by renewing, recycling, reusing, and
replacing things we use every day! Mrs. Cariker
our resident science expert will help make your
child into a green thing- someone who can turn
your house into a green machine! Using
scientific techniques we will observe, gather
evidence, record data, try out our hypothesis,
and create some green laws for living in a
renewable world while making our school and
homes a better place to be!
Fridays - Tumble, Dance and Cheer with Mrs. Ward
12:10—1:00pm $190 per semester or $350 for both!
Traditional tumbling, stretching, and large motor
movement await your child from 12-1 on Friday
afternoons. A balance beam, tumble mat,
games and songs make this class a perennial
favorite of boys and girls alike. From 1-2 pm
Mrs. Ward is adding something new - dance and
cheer routines! Little girls (and boys too) will
love learning to cheer on their favorite teams
and dance to their favorite songs in this tiny
version of a "big kid" class. Children who only
attend the 2nd half of the class may attend Stay
and Play for free.
