Guidelines and Practices

General Information

Children should dress in comfortable clothes that can get messy and that they can easily manage in the bathroom. Pull on pants or shorts with few buttons and no belts generally work the best. Please send your child to school in tennis shoes. Boots, dress shoes, flip flops, and sandals might make their outfit look cute, but they are not safe shoes to wear at school. Additionally, the mulch on the playground hurts their little feet if they are not in proper shoes. We want the children to run and play safely and even occasionally get messy without fear of messing up their clothes.

Children arriving late to school will be brought to class by a teacher or classroom aide. This lessens the disruption to the other students.

Please let the teacher know if your child will be going to Stay and Play after class. Stay & Play sign-up sheets are on the bulletin board in Faith House. Children who attend Stay & Play for one hour will be charged ½ the daily rate for Stay & Play.

Please send a healthy lunch to school each day. Trinity is a nut free and water only school. Chips, candy, and drinks other than water should be left at home. If your child is staying for Stay & Play, please send a healthy snack for them. Suggestions include graham crackers, baked crackers such as gold fish, pretzels, fruit and veggies. Please do not send chips or desert like items. These items cause problems when one child has chips, cookies or other sweets and the other children do not.
