The Flower Guild of Trinity Episcopal Church
Bringing the beauty of God's creation to our worship
Every worship gathering at Trinity is graced by the gift of flowers that represent the beauty of God’s creation. The lovely floral arrangements are another way that our senses are engaged in worship. The members of the guild purchase flowers each week to create designs that reflect the seasons of the church calendar and the time of year. Members of the guild are delighted to welcome all who would like to serve in this special ministry and provide classes for those needing training. As part of its ministry, Flower Guild members pray for individuals named in the week’s flower dedication, as well as the sponsoring individuals or families.
WHY SPONSOR SUNDAY FLOWERS?
Sponsoring the altar flowers is a beautiful way to honor loved ones. Flowers are often given to mark special life events such as birth and birthdays; anniversary of a wedding, baptism, confirmation; the memory of a loved one; or as a thanksgiving for life’s blessings.
HOW TO SPONSOR SUNDAY FLOWERS
The suggested donation for altar flowers for a specific Sunday is $60 per family/individual. More than one family can sign up for each Sunday. You may sponsor more than one Sunday. These honorariums, remembrances and thanksgivings are acknowledged in the Sunday bulletin. Our expectation is that your payment will be made by the Monday prior to your Sunday dedication. All donations are tax-deductible.
WHY FLOWERS?
Our way of worship has always been one that engages all the senses. We offer our praises and honor God with all of our senses too. The lush and beautiful arrangements on Sunday are another way we thank God for the beauty of creation.
